WORKSHOPS & ACTIVITES
UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVITY
THIS IS YOUR DAY TO CREATE
At each of the Contemporary Art Fairs we have …
Live Painting Demonstrations
Over the course of the weekend watch selected artists create a masterpiece in their own style, in the Live Art Theatre. Artists like Louise Luton, Brian Smith, Laura Amy Thompson, Louise Ellerington, Susie Lidstone, David Brightmore, Jenny Alyatt, Dionne Swift, Oliver Lovley, Marion Deacon & Phillip Allder.
Each fair has a workshop corner and at Windsor this year it is called The Art of Dress
The well-travelled suitcase unravels to reveal a world of mystique, of theatre, of costumes from days gone by, exotic kimonos, Parisian millinery, exquisite boxes of buttons and beautiful hand stitched suits will create a backdrop for you to explore. This is a workshop where fashion and art collide, you may simply want to use the pieces as inspiration themselves or enjoy the art of making fashion drawings.
Jelly will create a beautiful meandering space for you to come and explore using different techniques, to enjoy and just be…
The workshop is free and a drop in session will be running all day Saturday and Sunday.
Come along as a family and work together on a collaborative piece, or work on your own individual masterpiece. Under 6 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
With Este MacLeod
Join in the fun, come and draw or paint on a large interactive artwork. Este MacLeod will be guiding the creative process using numbers and printing as the inspiration. The project will emerge over the three days of the event, including Friday’s Private view.
Children’s Art Quest
Young visitors to the fair can show us just how much they know about art (probably more than mum and dad) by filling out a questionnaire about art techniques and artists exhibiting at the fair.
Of course there will be prizes!
En Plein Air Windsor Castle Exhibition
As part of this year’s Windsor programme we are delighted to host an exhibition of stunning art created at this year’s En Plein Air Windsor & Eton painting competition. This event gave artists the unique opportunity to paint within the grounds of Windsor Castle with the challenge to produce artwork in the open air in six hours. Expect to see a wide variety of styles and mediums, from amateur and professional artists and rare views and angles of the Castle.
