After a life lived backwards, Kristin makes sense of things by painting the world around her, predominantly in oils. Kristin’s passion is painting people and the everyday. She tells stories, captures character and shows emotion through her work using vivid, lively colour and bold emphatic brushwork.
Entirely self taught, Rayford’s inspiration comes from the eclectic mix of new and historic architectural features that can be found around the country. Excluding people from his quirky take on the world around us, Rayford draws on the personality of our surroundings to bring his paintings to life.
Geometric, Hard Edge, Minimalist and 3D fascinates me. Using acrylics on Aluminium or Birch surfaces and Alu-Mesh sculptured over fabrics, my goals are to conceptualise, capture and design new and fascinating linear-geometric abstract art that delivers a capacity to create fascination, evoke deep thought and engage great emotion and distill mood for the viewers.
Half American, half French, Emilie Riggs moved to London a few years ago. Inspired by the Englisg coast, she started a series on Seascapes. Between figurative and abstract art, she lets the liquid oil paint run freely on the canvas, playing with texture to create transparencies and complex colours. She seeks to express serenity and calm to the bystander.
Rob is self-taught, inspired and attracted to light and reflections. Blending traditional old master’s techniques of oil painting with a contemporary style of colour harmony, shadow and composition, resulting in a fresh blend of both styles. Awards: Royal Miniature Society, Hilliard Society of Miniaturists, Florida Miniature Art Society.
Riverhouse is a community arts centre in Walton on Thames. The artists exhibiting here at Sandown have exhibited in Riverhouse’s Robert Phillips Gallery, one of whom is a Riverhouse art tutor.

Sophie's artwork is a response to her sensory and emotional experiences within different landscapes. She works from these experiences and her own introspection to inspire her and her imagination. When creating her work, she wishes to communicate a sense of that particular location's space, atmosphere and the everchanging flow of the natural world.
Su Rogers (BA Hons 3DD/Ceramics) is a ceramicist based in Hampshire making stoneware hand-built and thrown pots. Each unique piece is decorated using sgraffito techniques. She is inspired by ancient as well as repetitive patterns. These pots are suitable for inside as well as looking great outside. Commissions taken.
Emma is an award winning artist based near Bath specialising in contemporary, impressionistic painting. Using Indian Inks and acrylics she produces vibrant and arresting work, whose style is distinctive and original. Skylines – landscape, sky, sea, nature and memory are the inspirational core of her celebrated work.
Lucy Routh is a contemporary still life painter. Amongst her favourite subjects are flowers, fruit, fish and sea life. Using a combination of ink and paint Lucy has developed a very distinctive unique style, creating images that are bold, bright and fresh with a sense of space and simplicity.
Norfolk based printmaker specialising in landscape, architecture and birds. Exhibits widely through England in galleries and art fairs. All works are original prints printed by the artist from copper plates or collaged blocks made entirely by hand crafted techniques and have no other form.
