Description
Emerald Beach Wave III is inspired by the coastline of South Devon and Cornwall. It shows a large wave cresting, lit by the sun turning the waves emerald green and with yellow ochre shadows. The time of day is key here. It is midday and the sunlight is strong. The highlights become a mixture of greens and yellows contrasting with the pale blue sea in the background. The foreground shows white foam detail and sand churned up by the waves.
