Description
“Turquoise Wave VI” is inspired by the coastline of South Devon and Cornwall. It shows a large wave cresting, lit by the sun turning the water turquoise and emerald green. The time of day is key here. It is midday the wave is lit a bright sun and the sky is cerulean blue. The highlights in the painting are mixture of turquoise blue contrasting deep marine and indigo blue sea. The foreground shows sea-foam rising up and under the wave.
